An independent, source-linked comparison site for Indian stock brokers, demat accounts and trading platforms.

What we do
Best Stock Broker India helps investors and traders in India compare stock brokers, demat accounts and trading platforms using facts they can check for themselves. We publish broker reviews, head-to-head comparisons, fee tables, nine free calculators and plain-English guides to charges, demat accounts, trading apps and regulation.
How we work
- Primary sources only. Every fee comes from the broker's own pricing page, tariff sheet or published documents. Each review links to that source and shows the date we last checked it.
- No paid rankings. Brokers cannot pay for a position, for inclusion or to change our data. See our editorial policy.
- No invented data. We do not publish star ratings, scores, user reviews or testimonials that we cannot back with data. Where a broker does not clearly publish a charge, we say so instead of guessing.
- Risk first. Pages about derivatives show SEBI's published findings on F&O losses, and we never tell readers what to buy or sell.
Who we are
All content is researched, written and reviewed by the BestStockBrokerIndia Editorial Team. We do not attribute articles to named individuals and we do not display credentials we cannot verify publicly; instead, every page shows the team byline, the date it was published and updated, the official sources used and — on broker pages — the date the fees were last checked. Our editorial team page explains the research and review process in detail.
We are an independent publisher. We are not a stock broker, depository participant, investment adviser or research analyst, we are not registered with SEBI in any of those capacities, and we never hold client money, open accounts or execute trades.
Site history
The domain beststockbrokerindia.com has existed since 2018, but this website is not a continuation of the site that used to be here. We checked the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine (292 captures between 10 July 2017 and 9 June 2026) and the record is mixed:
- 2018 to mid-2022: a WordPress site titled "Best Stock Broker in India" with broker lists, a handful of reviews and some IPO/NSE news posts. It featured Wisdom Capital heavily and promoted intraday leverage of "up to 200 times".
- February 2022: the host showed an "Account Suspended" page.
- 2022 to 2023: a redirect, then a third-party "Coming Soon" holding page.
- 2024: default nginx and aaPanel placeholder pages with no content.
- 2026: a small Next.js placeholder.
- September 2026: the current site was rebuilt from scratch. None of the old text was reused.
We do not claim ownership continuity with the earlier site and we do not vouch for anything it published. Where an old URL still answers a question we cover, we redirect it to the closest current page; where the old topic was promotional, out of date or about a broker we do not cover, we return 410 Gone rather than send readers to an unrelated page. The full list of old URLs and what happened to each is in our historical URL audit.
How we research and write
Every page follows the same process:
- Collect primary sources. Broker pricing pages and tariff sheets, exchange and depository circulars (NSE, BSE, NSDL, CDSL), SEBI regulations and AMFI data. We record the source URL and the date we checked it.
- Model the fee. Charges are stored as structured data, not prose, so the same figure feeds the review, the comparison and the calculators. Where a broker charges demat debits differently (per ISIN per day, per sell order, per sell transaction, per debit or a percentage), we model that rule explicitly instead of assuming one pattern.
- Verify and date it. Each broker page shows a "fees last verified" date. If two credible sources disagree, we show the conflict rather than silently picking one.
- Write for the reader. We explain what a charge means, give a worked example, and say who a broker may suit rather than declaring a single "best".
- Re-check. Corrections are logged on the change log and the corrections policy.
How the site is funded
The site is free to read. It may earn money from display advertising (for example Google AdSense) and, where clearly labelled, from affiliate links to brokers. Neither affects the fee data we publish or the order of any list. Read our advertising disclosure and affiliate disclosure.
