| If you mainly… | Start with |
|---|---|
| Buy shares or ETFs and hold them for years | Best brokers for long-term investing |
| Are opening your first account | Best brokers for beginners |
| Trade intraday several times a week | Best brokers for intraday trading |
| Trade futures and options | Best brokers for F&O |
| Want research, advice and a relationship manager | Best full-service brokers |
| Care most about the running cost of a demat account | Best demat accounts |
| Want the lowest possible per-order fee | Lowest brokerage charges |
Each list carries its own worked cost example, calculated from the brokers' published fee rules. A broker that is cheapest for a monthly investor (₹0 delivery brokerage) can be mid-table for an options trader, and a broker with the lowest per-order cap can be expensive for small delivery orders because of a percentage rule. None of the positions on these pages are paid for, and a broker cannot buy a better spot.
We do not use app-store ratings, customer counts or marketing claims, and we do not assign star ratings. We rank on published costs, regulation and fit for the use case, and we link to each broker's official pricing page so you can check the numbers yourself.
