Key differences

Brokerage: identical headline rates: equity 0.1% or ₹20 (minimum ₹5), F&O ₹20. Angel One adds a ₹0 brokerage offer (up to ₹500) for the first 30 days.

AMC: Groww ₹0; Angel One free in year one, then ₹60 + GST per quarter (non-BSDA).

DP: both ₹23.60 including GST and both per sell order or transaction, so splitting one sale into two orders doubles the charge at either broker.

Research: Angel One publishes research as a SEBI-registered research analyst; Groww does not offer advisory.

MTF: Groww 14.95% p.a.; Angel One 0.041% per day on MTF borrowings (about 15% a year simple).

The worked examples ignore statutory charges. GST, STT, exchange and SEBI fees and stamp duty are extra and are comparable at both brokers.

Which should you choose?

  • Choose Groww for ₹0 AMC and a very simple app.
  • Choose Angel One if you want research reports and call & trade support.
