Overview

HDFC Securities is the broking arm of the HDFC Bank group. This review covers HDFC SKY, its flat-fee app, which is priced like a discount broker. HDFC Securities' older hdfcsec.com platform and its prepaid plans are a separate product with different charges.

On HDFC SKY, any order above ₹800 hits the ₹20 cap (2.5% of ₹800 is ₹20). The demat AMC is free for the first year and ₹20 per month after that, so long-term holders should budget about ₹240 a year from year two. HDFC SKY lists ₹20 for each demat debit transaction but does not spell out how several same-day sells of one stock are counted.
